Radiate Rest is more than just a yoga practice; it's a philosophy. It's the belief that rest is not a luxury, but a radical act of self-care and a powerful force for positive change. Informed by the lineage of Restorative Yoga as taught by Judith Hanson Lasater, Radiate Rest provides a framework for reclaiming rest as a sacred practice, a form of resistance against systems of oppression, and a pathway to profound transformation.
This philosophy is embodied in the Rest Nest virtual studio, offering online Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, guided meditations, and personalized support. It's shared through in-person classes, workshops, and events in Orange County, CA, creating a vibrant local community. And it's deepened through the Rest & Reclaim Transformative Restorative Yoga Teacher Training, empowering individuals to become guides, and the Rhythm of Stillness Yoga Retreat, facilitating immersive experiences of renewal.
Radiate Rest is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and radiate your truest self.
Welcome to my sanctuary of rest. Throughout my journey, I've traversed a meandering path in search of true tranquility. Each time I've allowed myself to slow down and savor the exquisite essence of rest, my life has bloomed with newfound beauty. Amongst these transformative moments, one stands out—the day I attended my first Restorative Yoga class. Instantly captivated by the practice, I lounged amidst an abundance of plush props, basking in the gentle caress of sunlight streaming through the windows. In that blissful 90 minutes, I felt an unparalleled sense of renewal and rejuvenation. It was as if my body, mind, and soul were treated to a lavish spa day. From that profound experience, my calling to assist others on their journey to tranquility awakened.
If you have arrived here, I sense that you, too, seek respite from the exhaustion that burdens your soul. I invite you to lay your head down, beautiful soul, and embrace this opportune moment to find solace. Now is your time to rest.
My journey to sharing the gifts of Restorative Yoga and Sacred Rest feels like the culmination of a lifelong calling, one that first whispered to me at the early age of 8. Drawn to exploring spirituality, I initially found myself savoring the ritual and storytelling of mass with my Nanny (grandmother), discovering a unique comfort in the liminal space of prayerful dreams. This early fascination evolved, and by my teens, the practice of holding sacred space became familiar as I facilitated youth programs from age 15, learning firsthand the profound impact of presence and compassion. My academic studies, which spanned communication and the environment before delving into religion and philosophy, further shaped my holistic approach to teaching. This intertwined exploration of spirituality, holding space, and academic inquiry, coupled with a continuous thread of personal study, deeply informs my work as a Sacred Rest Facilitator. It is this foundation, built upon my Yoga education, including Relax and Renew® Level 1 and 2 certifications with Judith Hanson Lasater, that fuels my passion for guiding others to release conditioned beliefs around rest and reconnect to its divine, healing power, a path I've walked as an E-RYT® 500 and YACEP® since 2016.
Beyond my yoga practice, I'm an animal lover, amateur chef, born spiritualist, creator and manifestor, nap queen, voracious reader, and budding textile artist. I love hands on learning and finding beauty in everyday life, a passion that extends to guiding children in nature to embrace wellness and spirituality.
